Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 June 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and DataLook ("DataLook", "we", "us"), based in Cairo, Egypt, governing your access to and use of the DataLook website, dashboard, SDK, and APIs (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

DataLook is a privacy-first web analytics product that reports against a customer-defined success event (a signup, purchase, booking, or similar). We may update, add, or remove features over time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce core functionality.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter a binding contract.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to collect special-category personal data or data from children where prohibited by law;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to disrupt or overload the Service;
  • install the tracking script on sites you do not own or control, or without a lawful basis;
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, infringing, or abusive.

4. Your data and privacy

You own the analytics data you collect through the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required by applicable law (e.g. GDPR/ePrivacy) for the data you send us, and for your own site's privacy policy.

5. Plans, billing, and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, who handles checkout, payment processing, and invoicing. Prices are shown on our pricing section and may change with notice; changes do not affect the current paid period. Trials, where offered, are described at signup.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Availability

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation except where a specific service-level commitment is stated in writing for your plan. We may perform maintenance and will try to minimize disruption.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by DataLook and its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. Third-party product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only for identification and comparison.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination you may export your data as described in the product before access ends.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
